Privacy and safety
Who can see a child's work, and how accounts are kept safe.
- A pupil's work can be seen by their teachers, their school admin and parents linked to them, and by XVH administrators who run the platform.
- Pupils log in with a PIN; teachers and parents can reset it.
- Pupils have no public profile, and there is no chat between pupils.
- Live quizzes are for logged-in pupils only (no nicknames), and teachers can remove anyone.
- Pictures pupils draw are private: only the pupil, their teachers and linked parents see them. Classmates see a picture only if the teacher chooses to show it in the class gallery. Pictures are never public.
- Reading recordings are made only when a pupil does a reading check and presses Record. Only the pupil, their teachers, linked parents and the XVH team can listen to them.
- Classmates see each other only by first name and initial (for example "Tia B.") on the class leaderboard, in the class gallery and in live quizzes.
- XVH never sells information, shows no advertising and uses no tracking cookies. Nightly backups are encrypted before they are stored off-site.
- Weekly emails and phone notifications can be turned off at any time.
- To see, correct or delete a child's information, contact the school or email support@xvh.io. Teachers can delete a pupil from the pupil's page.
