Curriculum units for each term
The National Standards Curriculum units for this term, with the XVH activities for each one.
Press 🗓️ This term's units on your dashboard (or 🗓️ Units on a class page). XVH shows the units of the National Standards Curriculum (NSC) for the grade and term, starting with the current term from your school's calendar.
- Grades 1 to 3: the Integrated Studies themes, such as "My Body", "My Community" and "Caring for My Environment".
- Grades 4 and 6: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies units, term by term.
- Grades 4 to 6: Civics and Resource & Technology, which run through the year.
Press N activities → beside a unit to see the activities for it in the library, then assign them as usual.
Grade 5: the Ministry's Grade 5 guide lists its units in scanned pages, so XVH doesn't show Grade 5 units yet. Use the curriculum map for Grade 5.
Resource & Technology
Resource & Technology is now a subject on XVH for Grades 4 to 6, covering agriculture and the environment, family and consumer management (needs and wants, budgets, food safety), business basics (saving, profit, customers) and engineering (simple machines and the design process).
Unit names are XVH's short summaries of the Ministry's units. Your school's scheme of work may order them a little differently.
